Project Overview
This commercial security camera installation was completed at a large multi-tenant industrial property in Commerce, California. The customer leased a section of the building that included a truck gate located approximately 500 feet from the main office. Because the property is occupied by multiple businesses, running network cable between the office and the gate area would have required crossing spaces used by other tenants and potentially disrupting their daily operations. To avoid these challenges, we designed a wireless solution that provided reliable connectivity without interfering with neighboring businesses.
Ubiquiti Wireless Bridge Installation
To connect the office on the second floor with the truck gate area, we installed a pair of Ubiquiti wireless bridge devices. The wireless link provided a stable connection across approximately 500 feet, allowing the security camera system to communicate with the main network without trenching, conduit work, or cable runs through other tenant spaces. This approach reduced installation time, minimized disruption, and delivered the performance needed for remote monitoring and video recording.
4K Security Cameras with Active Deterrence Features
Three 4K security cameras were installed to monitor the truck gate and surrounding areas. The cameras include active deterrence features such as blue and red flashing strobe lights, built-in sirens, and two-way communication capabilities. Through the smartphone app, the customer can view live video, review recordings, speak through the cameras, and manually activate the warning lights and siren when needed. This combination of high-resolution video and proactive security features helps improve awareness and deter unwanted activity around the property.
